Not sure if bug but terrible AR with some vids. sure, terrible, vids, bug, Not

hopefully i dont get flames on this one but my search on the forum topics was inconclusive. anyways, i have alot of movies that are not being displayed at fullscreen (improper aspect ratio). i tested these on xbmp and they played at correct res (black bars). i tried to find a setting on my videos on xbmc and came across upsample to full gui (or something along those lines) amp; auto widescreen switching. i thought both of these were worth trying to alleviate the nasty pixels but they can't be changed via gui. greyed out. can someone tell me a fix if any? except my fix which is using xbmp to play movies that it does this too. btw, what ever happened to that handy xbmp feature that let you manually adjust your ar on the fly while watching a flick? thanks. :help:
